We got some work to do

So…..a lot has happened since my last post dedicated to Detroit’s winning streak. On Wednesday November 18th the Wings unfortunately lost to the Dallas Stars 3-1. Then on Friday November 20th against the Florida Panthers the Wings lost again…. In overtime 2-1. Following the two losses on Saturday the Wings made a comeback against the Montreal Canadiens 3-2. Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg scored two goals in a shootout giving the wings the lead…Thank God. After a win what did the Wings do?.... Well they went ahead and lost to the Nashville Predators 3-1 making it the Predators 6th straight win in a row. Then the wings lost again….against the Atlanta Thrashers 2-0 making it possible for Ondrej Pavelec the Thrashers goalie to get his second shutout of this season. After one shutout FOR THE OTHER TEAM the Wings let it happen again….against the Calgary Flames whom they lost to 3-0.
Okay after all that bad news its time for some good news…. On Saturday November 28th the Wings defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-3. Thankfully. Following that win the Wings did something they haven’t done in a while…they won again! On Monday November 30th the Wings DESTROYED the Dallas Stars 4-1. Jimmy Howard played a great game allowing the Wings to pull ahead. Detroit scored first for the first time in 5 games. Thank you Drew Miller for breaking that streak.
I still don’t think the Wings are a bad team…I just think they have some work to do. And honestly I can’t even defend Chris Osgood…because lately he just sucks.

  2. I really don't think they are a good team this year. We will see what happens.

  5. They did destroy the Stars! But Ozzie will hopefully wake up, if he dosen't i think Jimmy Howard will take over the starting spot.

  6. If the Wings played in the Eastern conference they'd be in the top 4 or 5 teams. The west is stacked this year(again).

  7. nice recap. Wings fans aren't comfortable with losing. But they got understand this is a different wings team from years past. Last few years even if the wings had an off night they could still win. This year there fighting to be competitive.

  10. I think they will be fine. We need to realize that the season is still young and that we only have to crawl into the top eight to make a playoff spot. Once the playoffs begin you have to take Detroit as a favorite

  11. Dan is right about crawling into the playoffs. It will be fun to see the Red Wings come in as a seventh or eight seed. For once, the other team would be the ones worrying about being upset.
